History of the hotel Legendary characters
The hotel Lastiry, built in 1709, has kept its soul and invites you on a journey with Pierre Loti who wrote Ramuntcho or even Lafitte Le Corsaire! The 11 rooms are dotted with original works by the painter Partarrieu, who regularly frequents this place. Thus, Pierre Loti wrote his most famous novel Ramuntcho there. Xampun was a poet composer. Patxola illustrious merchant. Xalbador a poet composer. Lafitte was a Basque corsair. Luis Mariano lived for a very long time in Sare where his mother was buried there.
